True riches, however, are not based on what I have but on who I have. Jesus Christ exchanged his riches for my poverty so that I might be made rich in him. Thank you that in receiving Christ, I have the source of all riches within me. (2 Cor. 8:9)

Death: the gateway to life – Oh Lord, I see that I must give up my old life in order to have your abundant life. You are asking me not to follow you by imitation but instead through participation in your death, burial and resurrection. Thank you, Lord, that I can now participate in your life and follow your leading. (Matt. 16:24)

Look up; the lord is here – Heavenly Father, there are so many reasons to be fearful. At times, I get stressed and perplexed about it all. But then I look through all the negative circumstances, and I see the Lord Jesus Christ. By faith, I am looking to you to get me through. HALLELUJAH, my Redeemer is here for me! (Luke 21:25-26, 28)

Life: It’s so simple – Oh Lord, it seems like everyone makes life so difficult. I am tired of all that. Thankfully, you offer a simple life. And that life is in Christ. My privilege is to remain focused by faith upon you, Lord Jesus. As I trust you to live your life through me, you do the work. Thank you for making the Christ life my life! (2 Cor. 11:2-3)

Constant abiding – Lord Jesus, you are the source of life. But having your life within me is not enough. You said that I must abide in you in order for your abundant life to flow through me. Abiding in you means living in you, drawing my life from you. Therefore, I abide in you by faith so that you can abide in me. (John 15:4)

Promote peace – Men, in the family, in the workplace, wherever we are, we can bring peace! Pray that the peace of Christ will dominate your hearts (Col. 3.15) so that, depending on him, you will be able to promote peace with everyone (Rom. 12:18).

Recognition – Lord, we understand that the family is a precious asset. It is easy to overlook this fact and act selfishly. I ask you to help me watch over relationships in my family so that through words and actions, you, Lord, may be glorified! (Col. 3.17)

Tension – Parents face a lot of pressure when it comes to parenting. Secular ideologies, causes backed by opinion makers, legislation and other currents threaten our ability to educate children in accordance with the Lord’s principles in his Word. Father, pray for wisdom, discernment, patience and firmness to guide your children in their formative years! (Prov. 3.1-10)

Work – Thank you, Lord, for granting me your support each day. Help me to see my workplace as a way to expand your kingdom. I want the witness of you in my life to bring joy and hope to others. (1 Tim. 6:6)

Steadfastness – Lord, I need steadfastness and spiritual maturity (Eph. 4.14). I ask for the Holy Spirit to minister to me as I study the Bible during personal devotions. May the Spirit’s ministering strengthen my Christian convictions! Thank you, Lord, that I can walk in intimate fellowship with you.

Waiting list – Jesus commands his followers to preach the gospel to all nations (Mark 13:10). Approximately 10,000 of the world’s ethnic groups have heard the good news, but more than 7,000 groups are still waiting for their “first missionaries.” Pray for God to call more Christians to share the good news with these groups. (Isa. 9:2).

Unfair – Unreached people groups (UPGs) in the world comprise more than 2 billion people. Despite this fact, there are more than twice as many cross-cultural Christian missionaries in the U.S. today than among all the UPGs. Pray that more mission organizations will turn their focus to actively reach these least-reached people. (Josh. 1:9)

God is calling – There are approximately 400,000 cross-cultural missionaries in the world. Only 13,000 of them are concentrating on reaching UPGs. Pray that believers will ask God to send messengers to the darkest areas of the world, and pray that more missionaries will respond to God’s calling to bring the gospel to UPGs. (Isa. 45:22)

A privilege – It is a great privilege to be an ambassador for the King of Kings. Jesus Christ is the only answer for a world in despair. Thank, God that He has chosen you to be his messenger of hope. Pray that he will help you to fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel. (Eph. 6:19-20)

Everlasting purpose – “Bless the Lord, o my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name” (Psalm 103:1). King David was a man who lived for an everlasting purpose. Be ready to make the most important decision of your life as you surrender your will to the Lord and seek to glorify him with all you are and do.

Forgetfulness – “Bless the Lord, o my soul, and forget not all his benefits …” (Ps. 103:2). It’s natural to seek God’s intervention when we are in the emergency room of life. Even more important is to remember the lessons we learn in our darkest moments. Therefore, always celebrate God’s goodness; don’t be forgetful.

Forgiveness – “… who forgives all your iniquities and heals all your diseases” (Ps. 103:3). Sin and guilt separate us from God and make life miserable. Because Jesus paid the full price for our redemption, there is nothing that can’t be forgiven. Open your heart and mind to Christ, and allow him to forgive and heal you.

Redemption – “… who redeems your life from destruction, who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies” (Ps. 103:4). God has a perfect plan for his children, and he can turn even what was meant for evil into something for our good. Therefore, never give up; trust him fully. He is faithful! Our redemption is near!

Good things – “… who satisfies your mouth with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s” (Ps. 103:5). Our speech reveals what we accumulate in our hearts. As the Lord gets control of our minds, wills and emotions, our whole bodies experience wellness. Pray for a new passion for Christ, and let him lift you up.

Hope – “The Lord executes righteousness and justice for all who are oppressed” (Ps. 103:6). There is always hope because our Lord reigns supreme and has the last word. Nothing is hidden before him. He knows our needs and promises not to allow us to be tempted beyond measure. Therefore, pray with trust and hope.

God speaks – “He made known his ways to Moses, his acts to the children of Israel” (Ps. 103:7). Man was created for the Word of God. God speaks through nature, our conscience, the Bible, and his Spirit, and he uses his people, like Moses, to call us to himself. Pray that your heart will be in tune with him, able to hear his voice.

God wants you – “The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in mercy” (Ps. 103:8). He sent his beloved son Jesus to pay the price of redemption on the cross. Return home. God wants you! Tell him of your guilt and shame; repent and ask his forgiveness. He will give you eternal life.

God calls us to himself – “He will not always strive with us, nor will he keep his anger forever” (Ps. 103:9). Joys, trials and difficulties are God’s ways to call us to him. His goodness, as well as his discipline, leads us to know him better. Pray with trust that he is accomplishing his perfect will in all of your circumstances.

Be gracious – “He has not dealt with us according to our sins, nor punished us according to our iniquities” (Ps. 103:10). God doesn’t measure us by his standard of perfection. He graciously accepts the believer because of Christ’s righteousness. Pray to be a father who also deals graciously with his children.

Power of praise – “Whoever offers praise glorifies Me; and to him who orders his conduct aright I will show the salvation of God” (Ps. 50:23) There is hope for today! God wants to manifest himself in our crisis. Let’s humbly adore him for his sovereignty and honestly clean up our lives before him. He will fulfill his promise.

Confession – “Examine me, O Lord, and prove me; try my mind and my heart” (Ps. 26:2). Pride and self-sufficiency are taken for signs of manliness. But that is the Devil’s way of isolating us from God and of making us ineffective in this world. Be willing to admit, to repent and to confess your pride. God wants to use you.

Be a provider – “But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever” (Tim. 5:8). In this pandemic time, the family is the most affected. Man, pray fervently for the Christian family, harmony, faith and God’s provision.

Prayer is ordained – “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplication, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men” (1 Tim. 2:1). As men, we are called to be influencers of society by being prayer warriors. Pray by name for those in authority over your city, state and country. Pray for moral revival today.

Courage to witness – “Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant your servants that with all boldness they may speak your word” (Acts 4:29). Cowardice or timidity are unbecoming for Christians. We are called to be light and salt. Be a witness where you are. Pray for the Church to shine by good works like a city on the hill.

A blessed man – “Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful” (Ps. 1:1). God’s blessing is the greatest good we can acquire. Therefore, watch your steps and make your relationship with the Lord priority No. 1. Trust him fully. He is faithful!

Pray for TWR – The promise of John 12:32 is being fulfilled today. Jesus said: “If I am lifted up from the earth, I will draw all peoples to myself.” Praise the Lord that through TWR alone the gospel is broadcast in over 300 languages and dialects. Pray for many men to be touched and transformed through the messages and to become followers of Jesus.

From poor to rich – Dear God, I once thought material possessions were an indication of wealth.
