Has he found you yet? Pray that he will transform you from within. (2 Cor. 3:18)

2. When Daniel learned that King Darius had signed his fatal order (Dan. 6:9-10), he got down on his knees. Unless God had intervened miraculously, that would have cost Daniel his life. Hungry lions would have killed him. Pray that you will have the same trust in God’s almighty power. (Dan. 6:11)

3. When Daniel was thrown into the lions’ den, God sent his angel to protect him. Pray that God will also send his angel to protect you, as well, from whatever is threatening you. Also, pray that your faith in God will never cease, whatever circumstances you face. (Mark 11:22)

4. Daniel’s faith and God’s protection of him in the lions’ den had a huge impact on King Darius (Dan. 6:25-28). Pray that your faith will impact your family, friends and colleagues. Give thanks to God that he is working through you. He leads you in the winners’ parade because you belong to Christ! (2 Cor. 2:14)

5. Profanity and taking God’s name in vain are all too common today. Rather than allow dirty language to infiltrate his own speech, a godly man will be careful with his words and follow the biblical advice to “let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth” (Eph. 4:29).

6. Pray that we as men will be of holy speech. An easy measure of a man’s words is to take note of how he speaks to his wife, mother, children or someone he doesn’t even know (like a waiter or waitress at a restaurant). Solomon noted that a soft answer turns away wrath (Proverbs 15:1). Pray that we as men will use our words to bless and encourage.

7. The right words at the right time are like valuable artwork of silver and gold (Prov. 25:11). Do we show appreciation, or are we sharp and critical, viewing other people as existing only to serve us? Pray that our words will manifest the grace of God and love of Jesus.

8. Feelings can be hurt, relationships destroyed, marriages crippled – all due to uncontrolled temper and words. Solomon warned, “Make no friendship with an angry man, and with a furious man do not go” (Prov. 22:24).

9. Pray that the Holy Spirit will govern our tempers and season our words. A godly man works to maintain control of his emotions and words, and applies the wisdom written by James: “So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath” (Jas. 1:19).

10. Pray that we will allow Jesus to live his wisdom and gentleness through us. Jesus taught us to pray, “Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.” Pray that men will model forgiveness by asking for forgiveness when they accidently offend or hurt the feelings of a family member. (Matt. 6:12)

11. The Bible says, “He who finds a wife finds a good thing.” Pray that men will use words and actions that demonstrate this truth to their sons and daughters. (Prov. 18:22)

12. Angry words can cut through loved ones’ hearts. Pray that husbands and fathers with anger issues will seek biblical help and guard their tongues. (Jas. 3:10).

13. The world says marriages are disposable, but the Bible says marriage is a covenant between the spouses and God. Pray that men will honor their marriage vows and get help to do so if needed. (Mark 10:9)

14. Balancing work and home can be challenging for men. As a result, grumbling and complaining can overcome thankfulness for God’s blessings. Pray that these husband and fathers will thank God for his provision and pray, with thanksgiving, for any unmet needs. (1 Thess. 5:18)

15. We intercede for protection in a hostile world. “But You, O Lord, are a shield for me, My glory and the One who lifts up my head” (Ps. 3:3). Prayer is offered so that God will be glorified in our lives and through the ministry of Champions Arise.

16. We pray to the one who is the source of wisdom and eternal life. “Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen” (1 Tim. 1:17). We revere the Lord as sovereign and eternal.

17. The world, the flesh and the devil oppose us daily, sometimes through persecution and in other cases through seduction and deception. Yet through our spiritual union with Christ, we are on the winning side. “But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Cor. 15:57).

18. Courage is not the absence of fear but the confidence that our God is present and sufficient for life’s challenges. He assures us, “‘Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand’” (Isa. 41:10).

19. We pray for ongoing change in our lives and families. This progress does not come through self-effort but by God’s Spirit working in and through us by grace. “But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord” (2 Cor. 3:18).

20. Dear God, It is so hard to know who to trust. Some people have betrayed me, and others have abandoned me. But you offer your abiding presence no matter what happens. When I feel alone, remind me that you are there for me. Thank you that you will never fail me nor forsake me. (Josh. 1:5)

21. Heavenly Father, when trouble comes, you invite me to call upon you. Thank you for teaching me by way of the troubles I encounter that I need you all the time. Therefore, I trust you with my life. Thank you for delivering me and taking care of me. (Ps. 91:15)

22. Oh Lord, thank you for showing me that everyone becomes weary and faint. But you are available to be my strength. Therefore, I acknowledge that I am weak. So I give up. I trust you to be the strength of my life. Enable me to live my life without growing weary or faint. (Isa. 40:30-31)

23. Lord Jesus, at times I get so confused. But you are not the author of confusion. Therefore, I realize that I have been going in the wrong direction. So I now turn to you and rely completely upon you. My confidence is in you, Lord. Thank you for making me strong in you! (Isa. 30:1-3, 15)

24. Pray for wisdom, love and courage to live out the absolute values and truth of God in your personal life and family despite the growing injustice and immorality of our times. Allow for the world to see your good deeds and glorify God. Be ready to answer to any man with meekness and fear about the hope that is in you. (1Pet. 3:15)

25. Be a man committed to godly priorities. Jesus said that the first and great commandment is to love God with all your heart, soul and mind. (Matt. 22:37)

26. Allow for the truth of Matthew 22:37 to become reality as you spend time with the Lord in prayer and the study of his word. He will make these minutes spent with your heavenly Father the best investment of your day.

27. Let the love of Calvary express itself through your words and deeds. Allow the Lord to transform your way of thinking by freeing you from the self-serving pattern of this world. Remember that you belong to the kingdom of God and were bought with the price of his blood. You are his own. (1Cor. 6:20)

28. Every Man A Warrior, TWR’s radically life-changing Bible study, calls men back to a personal and deep relationship with God. Get involved (everymanawarrior.com) and pray for the truth of Scripture to transform you into the man who will stand in the gap and build the wall. You can be the man who leads and protects those whom God has given into your care. (Ezek. 22:30)

29. The prince of this world has been defeated on Calvary. Yet until Christ’s return, the Lord entrusts a portion of his power to secular government. Pray for those men and women in authority to understand that their final responsibility is to God. And pray that they not bow to political or ideological agendas, instead doing justice, loving mercy, and walking humbly with God. (Mic. 6:8)

30. Pray for Christians who face opposition and especially for those who experience stern persecution. “That the proof of their faith, being more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ” (1 Pet. 1:7).

31. Many men have been deeply hurt by others. If these wounds are not treated properly, they block healthy emotional and spiritual relations. God promised to be near to the brokenhearted and to save those who are crushed in spirit (Ps. 34:18). Pray for men to turn to Jesus, the healer of our souls, instead of self-medicating with drugs and other addictive behavior.

1.
